How do streak-safe skips work?

Life happens. When you skip a day, Eki marks it “Skipped · streak safe” instead of breaking your streak, so one missed evening doesn't undo your momentum. A skip is a deliberate tap, not a guilt trip.

How does Apple Health auto-fill work?

If you turn it on, Eki reads only the Health types you approve (like steps, sleep, or resting heart rate) to fill in matching habit measurements automatically. It reads on your device, never writes back, and never sends anything anywhere. You can revoke access anytime in Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.

Where is my data stored?

On your devices, and in your own private iCloud. Eki has no account and the developer runs no servers. Your habits, notes, and the daily note sync across your iPhone, Apple Watch, and Mac through your private iCloud (Apple's encrypted CloudKit), where only you can reach them. The developer never sees any of it. Standard iCloud or computer backups may also include the app's data under Apple's terms, controlled by you.

Is the daily note really private?

Yes. The one honest note each morning is generated by Apple's on-device models. Your habit data is never sent to a cloud service to produce it.

How do I export or wipe everything?

Export all your data as JSON anytime from Settings. To erase it, use Settings > Wipe everything, which removes your data from your devices and your iCloud sync. There's no developer server holding a copy. The only copy is yours, in your iCloud, and it's gone once you wipe it.
